Velox Plus: The Premium All-Over Antifoul for Your RIB
Long-lasting protection, easy upkeep, and performance that goes the distance.
Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) are built for speed, agility, and versatility—but when marine growth starts creeping in, performance and fuel efficiency can suffer fast. That’s where Velox Plus comes in. Already a proven performer for protecting propellers, stern gear, and other underwater metals, Velox Plus is now making waves as a full-coverage antifoul for smaller RIBs.
Why Velox Plus?
Velox Plus isn’t your average antifoul. It’s a premium, high-performance coating that gives you a slick, long-lasting surface—perfect for RIB hulls that demand both speed and durability. Unlike soft, ablative coatings, Velox Plus stays firmly in place. You can service it mid-season with nothing more than a cloth or rag, without destroying or removing the protective surface.
That means no messy paint shedding, no patchy wear, and no loss in protection.
Performance Meets Practicality
Velox Plus doesn’t just look good—it delivers real-world benefits:
- Reduced drag for better speed and fuel economy.
- Long-lasting protection that stands up to harsh marine conditions.
- Simplified maintenance—service it during the season without damaging the finish. It's not a silver bullet; you will find better results in some waterways than others. It's not an ablative, so it can be cleaned with a rag without the traditional plume of antifoul dust disappearing into the ocean. Clean as conditions demand to stay ahead of growth.
Whether you’re using your RIB for leisure, diving, or commercial work, Velox Plus gives you a coating that works as hard as your boat does.
Upgrade your RIB’s protection. Ditch the short-lived antifouls and switch to a coating that keeps your boat clean, fast, and ready for anything.
Year One: Setting the Foundation
If your RIB already has antifoul applied, the first step is to make good the legacy surface. Depending on its condition, this might involve stripping back to a clean, epoxy-primed surface. The better your base, the better Velox Plus will bond—and the longer it will last.
Once the hull is properly prepared, Velox Plus is applied over the entire underwater surface. For a 7m RIB, you can expect to use around 3–4 litres of product.
The Easy Years: Effortless Recoats
After that first application, maintaining your Velox Plus finish couldn’t be simpler:
- High-pressure wash the hull at season’s end.
- Dry the surface and check for any damage or wear. Spot prime as needed.
- Recoat directly with Velox Plus—no need for metal primers, no fuss.
Because it’s a relatively hard, non-ablative coating, your hull stays smooth, fast, and easy to service.
