Surface Preparation
- Degrease, then sand with coarse paper (no. 80). Possibly sandblast or sandblast. After sanding, absolutely do not wash with water, detergents, acids or general solvents.
- Before and after any sanding operation, the substrate must be thoroughly degreased using a Grease Remover to remove all traces of dirt, oil, grease, silicone, wax etc. Afterwards, clean thoroughly with a dry, clean cloth.
Mixing Ratio by Volume
Application
- Apply 1 - 2 wet, even coats
- Allow 3 - 10 minutes between coats at 25°C
Drying Times
| 25° |
Touch Dry | 5 - 10 minutes |
Dry to Handle*
| 30 minutes |
Notes
- Do not apply at temperatures less than 10°C, when the relative humidity exceeds 80%, or if the surface temperature is within 3°C of the dew point.
- Drying times can vary depending on temperature, flash off between coats, film builds and number of coats applied.
*Allow 30 minimum to 12 hours maximum drying time before re-coating. Recommendations are based on 25°C ambient temperature.
Suggestions
- NEVER use acids to descale or clean surfaces before application.
- Do not use detergents, dirty solvents, water to wash surfaces after sanding. Use a wax & grease remover then clean thoroughly with a dry, clean cloth.
- Do not touch the surfaces with bare hands before application.
- Mix very carefully before use.
- To obtain an excellent result, the preparation of the surface is clean, without grease, dust or other dirt (even fingerprints), sweat or traces of solvents or water).
